Teak decks fail from underneath. By the time seams are lifting and plank thickness is down to a few millimetres, water has usually been tracking into the substrate for years. Replacing the visible timber without addressing what is below produces a deck that looks correct and fails again on the same schedule.
We survey the substrate before quoting, so the price reflects the actual job. Synthetic eco-teak is worth considering where the look matters more than the material: it holds up better under UV, needs no annual maintenance, and stays cooler underfoot.
