Antifouling is mostly preparation. The coating itself is the last hour of a job whose result was decided by how well the old layers were sanded back, how sound the substrate was underneath, and whether the hull was genuinely dry when the first coat went on. Rushed prep is why antifouling fails in a single season.
Working indoors removes the variables that make this difficult on an open hardstanding: no dew on the hull at eight in the morning, no dust blowing onto a wet coat, no rain stopping work halfway through the second layer. The off-season, with the boat already under our roof, is exactly when this job should happen.
