Most electrical faults on a boat more than a decade old are not in the equipment, they are in the wiring between it. Successive owners and installers add circuits, abandon others in place, and by the time an instrument starts dropping out the loom has become impossible to reason about from the outside.
We diagnose the loom before replacing hardware, which regularly means an owner who expected to buy new equipment does not need to. Where a full re-wire is justified, we document the finished installation so the next fault is a ten-minute job rather than another archaeological dig.
