Sau Mares Nautica carries out complete marine engine installation and repowering in Mallorca, including precise mechanical alignment and full fuel system calibration. Installations are performed indoors with the vessel out of the water and properly supported.
Alignment is where repowering jobs are won or lost. A shaft installation that is out by a fraction of a millimetre will destroy couplings, bearings, and seals over the following seasons, and the symptoms appear far enough down the line that they are rarely connected back to the original fit.
We align with the hull supported as it will sit in service, not as it happens to rest on a trailer, and we recheck after the vessel has been afloat and settled. Fuel system, controls, instrumentation, and exhaust are all recalibrated as part of the installation rather than left to be sorted out on the first sea trial.
